Day 2

Added to the list of items recommended to bring to practice is a reusable water bottle. You’ll easily sweat out 2-4 pounds (32 to 64 fluid ounces) in a two hour practice in an often hot room. I recommend a 32 oz bottle. Its also a good idea to hydrate well before practice.

On the topic of health. The old axiom of “you are what you eat” is true. While its OK to eat the occasional junk food treat; you’ll be doing your body and your athletic performance a big service by eating balanced nutritious meals.

Wrestling is not an easy sport to excel at, but if you train hard and don’t slack off no matter how strenuous a given evolution might be…you will excel on the mat and in life. The will to prepare to win is more important than the will to win.
