Although wrestling is an individual sport; team points are awarded when a wrestler wins a match at either a dual meet or tournament. Winning by major decision (8-14 points) yields team points than a decision (1-7 points). Winning by technical fall (15+ points) gets more points than a major decision. Winning by fall (aka pin) is worth the most team points.
Lowell’s 3rd place finish would not have been possible without the efforts of the entire team. Even those that did not medal gave the team points with every when they scored in the tournament.
Also wrestling for Lowell were and contributing to the team finish were:
Freshman Aldren Pasol at 106 lbs.
Sophomore Chris Mok at 120 lbs.
