Lowell Tops Lincoln 40-36

John Dente gets mean for the pin

John Dente gets mean for the pin

On Tuesday, Feb. 3 Lowell took the victory honors against Lincoln in a home dual meet. Getting pins for Lowell were Marco Kwan (soph), Aldren Pasol (senior), and John Cedrick Dente (junior).

Having significant holes in the line-up continues to put Lowell in a points deficit out of the gate. In this case, we spotted Lincoln 12 points due to forfeits. We earned those points back and then some by winning nearly all the matches wrestled.

We really hope to have more athletes on the squad next season…specifically in the middle weights (145-170lbs) and heavy weights (182-285lbs)… I’m talking to you, football players!
Next up for Lowell Wrestling:

Our girls will be at Oak Grove HS in San Jose on Friday and Saturday competing in the Central Coast Section championships in an effort to qualify for the Girls CIF State Championships. 75 schools from Pacifica to King City will be competing with the top three girls in each weight class advancing to the state championships.

Our varsity boys will be traveling to El Camino HS in South City to participate in their final varsity tournament of the season. They will be competing against 34 Central Coast, North Coast, and SF section schools.
