Our first year, JV, and some varsity wrestlers will be going to the Clayton Valley Shootout at Clayton Valley HS in Concord. Lowell is providing a bus there and back for this event! Wrestling starts at 9:00 AM. We’ll let you know when exactly you need to be at Lowell.
Some of our varsity wrestlers will be going to the Golden Gate Invitational at Washington HS. There are fourty-four high schools in this tournament this year…it will be tough. Doors open at 6:30 AM, weigh-ins are at 7:00 AM, and wrestling begins at 9:00 AM.
We received our new wrestling practice mats today, and boy are they nice. Let’s take good care of these so they last a long time for Lowell.
Mat rule #1: No street shoes on the new mats…EVER! Put on your wrestling shows before mopping them prior to practice.
We are indebted to the Lowell PTSA for their generous grant which allowed us to get new mats, mat cleaning supplies, and a new scale.
